On May 1st, 2023, DAV School Amritsar hosted a special lecture by Baljit Singh, based on his book “My Experiments with Innovation”. The lecture was delivered to the students of Class XI and XII in two different batches, as part of the school’s mission to impart quality education with a holistic approach.

Baljit Singh, a renowned innovator and entrepreneur, shared his insights and experiences on innovation, entrepreneurship and leadership with the students. His lecture aimed to inspire and motivate the students to become agents of social change and global citizens, in line with the school’s vision.

Baljit Singh’s lecture emphasized the importance of innovation and creativity in solving the challenges faced by society and the world at large. He shared his personal experiences of innovation and entrepreneurship, which served as examples for the students to learn from.

The lecture was followed by an interactive session, where the students had the opportunity to ask questions and clarify their doubts. Overall, the special lecture by Baljit Singh was a great success, inspiring and motivating the students to become responsible global citizens with a cosmopolitan outlook.

May 1 being a labor day, DAV School Amritsar celebrated Labor Day with the school staff, in recognition of their hard work and dedication towards the school’s mission and vision. Principal Anjana together with Faculty, Students and Mr. Singh appreciated the hard work of the school staff.

Principal Anjana has had a long and illustrious career in the field of education, with more than 28 years of experience. She began her journey as a Commerce teacher in 1991 and has since held various positions of responsibility, including serving as Principal at DAV International School, Amritsar since 2006. She has also served on various committees and conferences, such as the Vocational Committee CBSE, Inspection Committee CBSE, National Progressive Schools’ Conference, Finance Secretary Sahodaya Schools Complex, Amritsar, and more.

Principal Anjana is a highly accomplished educator and has received numerous awards and honors from recognized national and international bodies. These include the British Council International School Award and CBSE Awards to Teachers, among others. She is also actively involved in various social projects to serve society.

Furthermore, Principal Anjana has made significant contributions to the field of education through her publications and authored certain books. Her vast experience and dedication to education have helped shape the lives of countless students and have made her an inspiration to many in the field.
