Lamrin Tech Skills University (LTSU) and Ajuba have embarked on a transformative journey to build a world-class Center of Excellence for Wafer Growth in Semiconductors and an innovative School for Semiconductor & Nano Materials. This collaborative endeavor represents a significant stride in advancing the semiconductor manufacturing sector while fostering research and education on a global scale.
Dr. Arvinder S. Chawla, Vice Chancellor of LTSU, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “Our collaboration with Ajuba marks a momentous milestone in our pursuit of technological excellence. The Center of Excellence for Wafer Growth in Semiconductor will be a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to advancing wafer growth technology, driving research, innovation, and education. Its research focus will encompass materials like Silicon, Silicon Carbide, and Gallium Nitride, with a commitment to developing novel techniques for wafer growth, optimizing crystal quality, reducing defects, and enhancing scalability.
Dr. Chawla added, “This center will serve as a collaborative hub, bringing together industry leaders, researchers, and educational institutions to propel technological advancements, foster skill development, and drive industry growth. LTSU will establish a School for Semiconductor & Nano Materials within its campus, offering specialized degree programs in VLSI Design, Wafer Growth, Semiconductor Fabrication, and Semiconductor Testing & Packaging. Vocational and degree programs will be designed to provide comprehensive education and training in these critical semiconductor fields.”
